YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, WE HAVE ANSWERS

What is your feeding process?

Our feeding process is our secret weapon. There are currently two ways that almost all producers use to raise cattle; completely grass fed and grass finished (the taste is awful) or they use corn, soy, oats and just about anything else that can be fed for a cheap price (but let's face it, the taste is great!). Our secret weapon is grass fed with a non-GMO local barley finish. It truly is the best of both worlds. You are able to have the natural fed beef that study after study shows is the most healthy route while also getting the marbling, taste and flavor of "grain finishing." If cows were in a corn field, they would starve because they wouldn't be able to eat it. If they were in a barley field, they would thrive. This is the Cross O difference!

If I have my meat shipped, how long will it take to get to me?

We use 2 day shipping regardless of where you live so we can make sure that your meat will always be delivered quickly. As with anything that is shipped, very rarely it could be delayed by a day but we make sure that we pack each box with state of the art liners as well as dry ice to ensure your meat arrives safely. We ship the first and third Monday of the month so you will want to keep that in mind when placing your order as well.

Are your beef ever injected with hormones?

No. We have even had our nutritionist friends and veterinarians suggest growth hormones to bring down our costs but we refuse to do them. We are committed to natural growth which takes a little longer but we believe it is well worth it.

Where do your cattle come from?

As of now, all of our cattle are raised right here on the Cross O Ranch. Our goal has always been and will continue to be to grow this business big enough to be able to buy other local ranchers calves for our meat program as well. If and when that day happens, they will be raised to the same standard that you all have come to know and trust.

Where do you ship to?

Everywhere in the U.S.!

Where do you deliver to?

We personally deliver all throughout central Idaho which ranges from Riggins to Boise along Highway 95. If you live in the Riggins, New Meadows, McCall and Donnelly areas, we deliver weekly. If you live in the greater Boise area, we deliver at least once per month. If you live outside of these areas, we are more than happy to meet you in any of these locations.

What does dry-aged mean and is your beef Dry-aged?

Yes, we dry age every cut of our beef (including our ground beef) and once you've tried it, there's no going back! Dry aging is a process in which the meat is placed in a climate controlled environment for at least 14 days. What you'll notice are two main differences from the stuff at the grocery store; first, the tenderness is next level. Second, you will notice a much more flavor-rich cut of meat. Dry-aging is a process that many hunters have done for centuries but most of the beef that you buy isn't dry-aged because it takes too long for the mass production chains. It's just one more reason why Cross O Meats will blow you away!

You're frequently sold out, how do I know when you've restocked?

YES, we do tend to sell out very quickly. We aren't a mass producer that has endless supply. However, we restock every single month so you should never be too far away from being able to place your order. The best way to stay informed is to be on our email list to get notified when we re-stock. We always let our email list know very first before announcing it on social media. If you want to ensure that you ALWAYS have the best meat no matter what, you can become a member of our subscription service and you will get your meat every single month right to your doorstep no matter what (plus, you get an exclusive "Fueled By Cross O Meats shirt that we know you'll absolutely love!)
